  • Combating human trafficking

    Marriott International and Cisco have partnered with the Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) to help monitor human trafficking and block child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The hotel company uses  Cisco Umbrella—with its cloud-delivered web filtering, integrated SafeSearch browsing, and DNS-layer security—to manage guest network access and prevent access to CSAM content hosted by sites that appear on the IWF watchlist.  
     

    Marriott has deployed the Cisco-enabled solution in nearly 5,000 hotels in the U.S. and Canada, with a global rollout expected through 2025. Every successful block of CSAM represents one time a child survivor was protected from the revictimization that occurs each time their image is viewed
